Description
Coordinate day-to-day logistics operations across the product life cycle, including order processing, inventory allocation, carrier booking, shipment tracking, and returns or disposal. Ensure on-time, cost-effective, and compliant movement of materials and finished goods by liaising with customers, suppliers, warehouses, and carriers.
  • • Use ERP/WMS/TMS and trackers to plan, prioritize, and record logistics activities.
  • • Compile logistics data and assist with root-cause analysis and continuous improvements.
  • • Communicate shipping options, constraints, and cost impacts to stakeholders.
  • • Obtain and compare freight quotes; prepare cost estimates for planned moves.
  • • Track and trace shipments; provide proactive status updates and exception alerts.
  • • Coordinate returns, RMAs, and disposal or recycling per policy and regulations.
  • • Monitor inventory availability, backorders, and substitutions; escalate shortages.
  • • Collaborate with sales, procurement, and warehousing to resolve order or material issues.
  • • Safeguard proprietary materials and sensitive documents during handling and transport.
  • • Measure logistics KPIs (on-time delivery, OTIF, cost, damage rate) and report performance.
  • • Maintain positive relationships with customers, carriers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • • Capture customer requirements and service levels and translate them into shipment plans.
  • • Process orders and allocate inventory in ERP/WMS to meet required ship dates.
  • • Schedule pickups and deliveries; book carriers and confirm capacity.
  • • Prepare and verify shipping documents (BOL, packing lists, labels, export documents).
  • • Support special handling, hazmat, temperature control, and international compliance needs.
  • • Maintain accurate master data, routings, and carrier accounts; ensure EDI/data integrity.
  • • Identify consolidation, mode, or routing opportunities to reduce cost and improve service.
  • • Liaise with 3PLs and carriers to monitor performance and resolve service failures or claims.
  • • Reconcile freight invoices, validate accessorials, and flag discrepancies for correction.
  • • Update and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and training guides for logistics processes.
  • • Assist with onboarding and training of team members on systems and procedures.
