Description
Receive, tag, store, and retrieve coats, bags, and personal items in venue checkrooms, issuing claim checks and providing courteous, secure, and efficient service while maintaining organization, cleanliness, and lost-and-found procedures.
  • • Keep counters, racks, and floors clean and free of clutter.
  • • Greet guests and explain checkroom hours, fees, and policies.
  • • Receive garments and personal items; issue numbered claim checks.
  • • Tag, hang, and store items securely and in order for quick retrieval.
  • • Return items only upon presentation of matching claim checks.
  • • Verify tickets and resolve discrepancies or unclaimed items per policy.
  • • Maintain logs of stored and unclaimed items; manage lost-and-found.
  • • Monitor the checkroom area and queue to maintain safety and order.
  • • Handle payments, tips, and receipts; reconcile cash or POS at shift end.
  • • Check and restock tags, hangers, garment bags, and umbrella sleeves.
  • • Report safety, security, or facility hazards to supervisors.
  • • Escalate customer complaints or issues to management as needed.
  • • Provide small courtesy services, such as umbrella bagging or lint rolling, when permitted.
  • • Control capacity; post signage and communicate wait times when full.
  • • Coordinate with security on suspicious packages or incidents.
  • • Set up and break down portable racks, stanchions, and counters for events.
  • • Assist guests by opening doors or helping carry items to the counter.
  • • Follow emergency procedures and assist with evacuations if required.
  • • Organize items by section, size, or tag sequence to optimize space.
  • • Comply with privacy and handling standards to prevent damage or loss.
