Description
Clean interior and exterior glass surfaces on buildings and structures. Wash windows, glass partitions, and skylights using squeegees, water-fed poles, aerial lifts, or rope descent; remove films, adhesives, and mineral deposits; and clean frames, sills, and screens. Follow safety procedures, maintain equipment and supplies, coordinate site access, and report damage or repair needs.
- • Remove cobwebs and debris from window openings and ledges.
- • Clean interior and exterior windows, glass partitions, mirrors, and skylights with squeegees or water-fed poles.
- • Mix and apply cleaning solutions per specifications.
- • Follow safe procedures for chemicals, ladders, lifts, and rope descent systems.
- • Set up and secure ladders, scaffolding, suspended platforms, or bosun's chairs.
- • Remove dirt, tape, paint, stickers, and mineral deposits using scrapers or pads.
- • Clean and detail frames, sills, tracks, and screens.
- • Use specialty cleaners and techniques to remove hard-water stains.
- • Place warning signs, cones, and barricades to protect pedestrians and occupants.
- • Inspect glass, frames, seals, and anchors; report damage or safety concerns.
- • Maintain, clean, and store squeegees, rubbers, poles, hoses, ropes, and safety gear.
- • Requisition and restock cleaning supplies and equipment.
- • Coordinate access with occupants or security; lock and secure areas after work.
- • Document work performed and site conditions; obtain customer sign-off.
- • Adjust methods for weather and temperature to prevent streaks or freezing.
- • Perform minor repairs or adjustments to cleaning tools and safety devices.
- • Drive vans or trucks to job sites; load and unload equipment safely.
- • Use fall protection and tie-backs in compliance with OSHA and IWCA/ANSI standards.
- • Clean glass canopies, railings, and other glazed surfaces as assigned.
- • Dispose of wastewater and debris in compliance with regulations.
