Description
Clean and restore carpets, rugs, and upholstery in residential and commercial settings. Perform deep cleaning, stain and odor removal, and apply protectants using hot-water extraction and other methods. Move and protect furniture, mix chemicals safely, operate and maintain truck-mounted or portable equipment, and document results while following safety procedures.
- • Pre-inspect carpeted areas to identify fiber types, soiling, stains, and damage.
- • Vacuum and pre-spray carpets and rugs according to specifications.
- • Mix cleaning solutions and pretreatments to correct dilution ratios.
- • Agitate fibers with brushes or CRB machines to loosen soil.
- • Clean carpets using hot-water extraction, encapsulation, or bonnet methods.
- • Spot-treat stains and spills, including pet urine and food.
- • Deodorize and sanitize carpets as needed.
- • Apply carpet protectants or anti-soil treatments.
- • Extract excess moisture and set air movers to speed drying.
- • Move and protect furniture; place tabs or blocks under legs.
- • Reset rooms by returning furniture and fixtures to original positions.
