Inspect, grade, and sort shell eggs by size, weight, shell condition, cleanliness, and internal quality using candling, and prepare them for packaging per company and regulatory standards.
  • • Grade and sort eggs by size, weight class, shell color, cleanliness, cracks, and interior quality using candling equipment.
  • • Remove defective, cracked, dirty, or contaminated eggs and foreign material; route acceptable eggs for washing or packaging.
  • • Weigh eggs or verify weight class with scales and automated graders.
  • • Place eggs in cartons, flats, or trays by grade and size; label containers with grade marks and dates.
  • • Record grades, sizes, lot codes, and counts in logs or electronic systems for shipping and traceability.
