Description
Provide in-room dining service to hotel guests by taking orders, assembling and delivering meals and beverages, setting up service in guest rooms, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and following food safety and hotel standards; process payments and retrieve trays.
- • Receive room service orders by phone or POS and relay to kitchen and bar.
- • Assemble and plate orders according to hotel standards and guest requests.
- • Verify items, modifiers, and dietary or allergen requests before delivery.
- • Stock trays or carts with utensils, glassware, condiments, and napkins.
- • Inspect trays for completeness, temperature, and presentation.
- • Transport orders to guest rooms using trays or carts, following safety protocols.
- • Set up in-room dining tables or stands and present menu items to guests.
- • Assist guests with placement, covers, and service needs; offer additional items.
- • Prepare simple items such as coffee, tea, sandwiches, salads, or beverages as assigned.
- • Monitor food holding times and serving procedures to meet quality and safety standards.
- • Retrieve trays and trolleys from rooms and corridors; return items to stewarding.
- • Clean and sanitize trays, carts, hot boxes, and service areas.
- • Stock floor pantries and service stations with supplies and amenities.
- • Present checks and process payments or post charges to rooms; handle signatures and gratuities.
