Description
Serve food and beverages to guests in dining establishments by taking orders, delivering meals, processing payments, and maintaining a clean, safe, and hospitable dining experience.
  • • Track orders, modifiers, comps, and voids accurately in the POS.
  • • Verify orders are delivered to the correct table and that dietary or allergy requests are followed.
  • • Clean and sanitize tables, service stations, and high-touch surfaces.
  • • Check plates and tickets before serving to ensure required items and modifications are included.
  • • Set tables and prepare trays with utensils, napkins, condiments, and accompaniments.
  • • Take guest orders, enter them in the POS, and communicate special requests to the kitchen or bar.
  • • Restock service stations with glassware, silverware, linens, ice, condiments, and to-go supplies.
  • • Deliver food and beverages using trays or carts safely.
  • • Clear plates and glassware, reset tables, and return dishware to the kitchen.
  • • Prepare simple menu items or beverages as required (e.g., salads, desserts, coffee).
  • • Monitor food safety, sanitation, and service standards during preparation and service.
  • • Assist with guest seating and accommodations, such as high chairs or accessibility needs.
  • • Provide menu guidance, answer questions, and upsell specials when appropriate.
  • • Prepare checks, present them to guests, and process payments accurately.
