Operate a mobile food cart to prepare and serve food and beverages in nonrestaurant settings such as campuses, events, or public spaces; take orders, process payments, stock and sanitize the cart, and follow food safety and local vending regulations.
  • • Set up, open, and operate a mobile food cart at assigned locations.
  • • Take customer orders and prepare or coordinate items for fulfillment.
  • • Assemble orders in approved containers and verify accuracy before serving.
  • • Stock the cart with ingredients, beverages, ice, napkins, utensils, and condiments.
  • • Maintain sanitary conditions; clean and sanitize cart surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
  • • Follow food safety and temperature control guidelines, including allergen handling.
  • • Prepare simple menu items and beverages, such as sandwiches, salads, soups, or coffee.
  • • Process payments using POS systems; issue receipts and make change.
  • • Monitor inventory levels; record sales, item counts, and waste; restock as needed.
  • • Move and secure the cart and supplies; comply with local vending and safety regulations.
  • • Manage queues and provide courteous customer service, answering menu questions.
  • • Collect and dispose of trash; return reusable wares for washing when required.
  • • Keep condiment and self-service areas stocked and tidy throughout service.
  • • Close down the cart; store food properly and complete cleaning and closing checklists.
