Description
Direct and coordinate daily operations of a retail department, leading sales associates, merchandising, inventory, and customer service. Manage staffing, scheduling, purchasing, budgeting, and compliance while achieving sales, margin, and customer satisfaction goals.
- • Lead customer service in the department, greeting customers and resolving escalations.
- • Monitor sales floor activity and service standards; track department KPIs.
- • Assign associates to zones, registers, and daily tasks.
- • Supervise sales, inventory counts, cash handling, and service activities.
- • Manage inventory levels, replenishment, and reorders to plan.
- • Maintain accurate records of sales, purchases, transfers, and shrink.

- • Forecast demand and plan assortment and orders with buying or replenishment partners.
- • Ensure accurate pricing, signage, planogram compliance, and visual standards.
- • Build and manage labor schedules; approve timecards and attendance.
- • Analyze sales, margin, and inventory reports; prepare action plans and reports for management.
- • Plan and execute in-store promotions, seasonal sets, and visual displays.
- • Partner with store and district leaders and vendors to improve processes and drive sales.
- • Manage department budgets and expenses; authorize returns and payments within limits.
