Description
Directly supervise and coordinate activities of insurance sales agents and account representatives. Drive new business and retention, ensure compliance, and handle budgeting, forecasting, and personnel administration while supporting agents with complex quotes and client issues.
- • Resolve policyholder and prospect complaints about coverage, billing, service, or agent conduct, escalating when needed.
- • Monitor agent performance and activity to ensure premium, conversion, and retention goals are met.
- • Recruit, license, train, coach, and evaluate insurance sales staff.
- • Partner with leadership to refine sales processes, expand markets, and launch compliant campaigns.
- • Provide hands-on assistance with complex quotes, coverage design, and objection handling.
- • Plan schedules, assign territories or lead lists, and balance workloads.
- • Attend product, underwriting, and compliance meetings to align on offerings and procedures.
- • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline, and premium production reports for management and budgeting.
- • Recommend discounting, commission, and pricing approaches within carrier and regulatory guidelines.
- • Review quotes, proposals, and marketing materials for accurate rates, coverages, and required disclosures.
- • Analyze territories and customer segments to assess growth potential and set quotas.
- • Visit agencies, referral partners, or business clients to promote products and gather market intelligence.
- • Maintain accurate records of applications, policy changes, commissions, and compliance documentation.
- • Coordinate local promotions, digital campaigns, and events, ensuring materials meet brand and regulatory standards.
- • Oversee preparation of policy proposals, binders, and payment plans; verify terms and fees.
- • Manage lead inventory and distribution; source or reorder leads when volumes or quality fall.
- • Review carrier products, endorsements, and updates to ensure suitability and team readiness.
- • Direct and supervise staff handling new sales, renewals, cross-sell/upsell, and premium reconciliation.
