Description
Lead and supervise on-site crews as a foreman, coordinating daily construction or extraction work, resources, safety, and quality to meet plans, schedule, and budget.
- • Review drawings, specifications, and work orders to plan procedures and verify requirements.
- • Estimate crew, equipment, and material needs for assigned tasks.
- • Schedule and direct daily activities of the crew and subcontractors.
- • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and vendors to resolve issues.
- • Sequence and integrate crew work with other trades and project milestones.
- • Order, requisition, and track materials, tools, and equipment.
- • Lay out work; locate, measure, and mark placements using layout tools.
- • Complete daily reports on labor, production, quantities, and incidents.
- • Assign tasks based on priorities, skills, and available resources.
- • Provide hands-on assistance and operate tools or equipment when needed.
- • Train crew on methods, equipment operation, safety practices, and company policies.
- • Identify productivity or quality problems and implement corrective actions.
- • Arrange maintenance and repairs for tools, equipment, and machinery.
- • Recommend personnel actions such as hires, promotions, transfers, or discipline.
- • Inspect work, equipment, and the site for quality and safety; enforce compliance with plans, codes, and OSHA.
