Description
Provide on-site diagnosis, installation, adjustment, repair, and overhaul of agricultural machinery and related systems—such as tractors, harvesters, dairy equipment, pumps, and irrigation controls—to restore safe, reliable operation and support customers in the field.
- • Document service actions, parts used, labor time, and equipment condition in work orders.
- • Reassemble equipment after repair; test, calibrate, and adjust for proper operation.
- • Maintain, repair, and overhaul on-site agricultural machinery (tractors, harvesters) and irrigation systems.
- • Inspect equipment, review reports, and consult with customers to diagnose malfunctions.
- • Disassemble defective assemblies using appropriate hand and power tools.
- • Troubleshoot and replace electrical components and wiring using meters, soldering tools, and hand tools.
- • Repair or replace mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic parts; perform basic machining and welding as needed.
- • Clean, lubricate, and service moving parts and fittings.
- • Tune, repair, or overhaul diesel and gasoline engines.
- • Operate a service vehicle to transport tools, parts, and equipment to job sites.
- • Fabricate or modify simple metal parts with portable or shop machine tools.
- • Prepare estimates and finalize service invoices based on work performed and parts used.
- • Install, program, and repair irrigation, plumbing, and sprinkler systems and controls.
- • Straighten or replace damaged sheet-metal panels, guards, and housings.
