Description
Diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul farm implements and attachments—such as tillage tools, planters, sprayers, balers, mowers, and combine headers—covering hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- • Clean, lubricate, and adjust moving parts and linkages.
- • Record details of repairs, adjustments, and parts used for each implement.
- • Reassemble implements after repair; test operation and make necessary adjustments.
- • Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm implements and attachments (tillage, planters, sprayers, balers, mowers, headers).
- • Inspect implements, listen for issues, review service reports, and consult with operators to diagnose faults.
- • Dismantle defective assemblies using hand and power tools.
- • Test and replace sensors, controllers, and wiring harnesses, including ISOBUS components.
- • Service hydraulic systems, gearboxes, drivelines, chains, belts, and PTO shafts.
- • Repair or replace wear parts such as bearings, knives, discs, coulters, guards, and pickup teeth.
- • Perform on-site field repairs; drive service trucks and trailers as needed.
- • Fabricate or modify metal parts and brackets using welders, drill presses, and machine tools.
- • Set up, align, and calibrate planters, sprayers, balers, and headers for field operation.
- • Prepare estimates and calculate invoices based on labor time and parts.
- • Repair or replace damaged shields, guards, and sheet metal panels.
