Provide counseling services to support clients' personal, academic, and career development; assess needs, deliver interventions, coordinate resources, and advocate for wellbeing and success.
  • • Maintain accurate, confidential client records in compliance with laws, policies, and regulations.
  • • Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and de-escalation during acute situations.
  • • Encourage clients to pursue growth opportunities and persist toward personal, academic, or career goals.
  • • Provide information on education and training options, admissions, and financial aid.
  • • Facilitate psychoeducational groups and workshops on life skills, study strategies, and career planning.
  • • Conduct follow-ups to assess progress and service effectiveness.

  • • Administer or interpret assessments to evaluate abilities, interests, and wellbeing.
  • • Identify risk factors such as abuse or neglect and facilitate mandated reporting and referrals.
  • • Counsel clients on educational planning, study skills, adjustment, attendance, and career pathways.
  • • Participate in program development, evaluation, and quality improvement with stakeholders.
  • • Observe clients in relevant settings to assess behavior, functioning, and needs.
  • • Attend meetings, trainings, and committees to maintain competence and improve services.
  • • Plan and promote career development events, workshops, and work-based learning opportunities.
  • • Support implementation of policies and guidelines that promote safety and positive behavior.
  • • Build partnerships with employers to expand internship and employment pathways.
  • • Support outreach, recruitment, and intake for counseling programs.
  • • Supervise, train, and mentor counseling staff, interns, or volunteers.
  • • Provide individual and group counseling to address personal, social, behavioral, or vocational concerns.
