Description
Assist the principal in managing K-12 school operations, including instruction, student services, discipline, safety, and daily administration; implement policies, support staff and families, and ensure compliance and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • • Implement school policies and goals under the principal’s direction.
  • • Oversee daily operations, bell schedules, and building opening/closing procedures.
  • • Enforce discipline and attendance policies and manage truancy interventions.
  • • Monitor school climate and lead restorative and positive behavior supports.
  • • Coordinate safety plans, drills, and emergency response with staff and agencies.
  • • Prepare and maintain attendance, behavior, and program reports and records.
  • • Observe classrooms and provide feedback on instruction and management.
  • • Support curriculum implementation and alignment with standards.
  • • Coordinate schoolwide assessments and testing logistics.
  • • Plan and lead professional development for teachers and staff.
  • • Coach, mentor, and evaluate assigned teachers and support staff.
  • • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding staff.
  • • Help develop the master schedule, duty rosters, and supervision assignments.
  • • Confer with parents, students, and staff to resolve academic or behavior concerns.
  • • Coordinate student support teams and tiered academic and behavioral interventions.
  • • Support special education compliance, meetings, and IEP implementation.
  • • Track attendance and achievement data to identify at-risk students and plan interventions.
  • • Assist with budgets, purchasing, and resource allocations for assigned areas.
  • • Oversee cafeteria, transportation, and other logistics with district departments.
  • • Manage facility use, maintenance requests, and event scheduling.
  • • Coordinate and supervise extracurricular programs and after-school activities.
  • • Lead or organize committees of staff, families, and community partners.
  • • Communicate school information through newsletters, websites, and meetings.
  • • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations and reporting.
  • • Review safety and conduct codes and train staff on procedures.
  • • Support program proposals and pilots; recommend improvements based on data.
  • • Collect, analyze, and present student performance and climate data.
  • • Mediate conflicts and investigate incidents or complaints.
  • • Serve as administrator on duty for events, arrival/dismissal, and emergencies.
  • • Act for the principal when assigned.
  • • Build partnerships with families, businesses, and community organizations.
  • • Teach or substitute in classrooms as needed.
