Description
Assist the principal in managing K-12 school operations, including instruction, student services, discipline, safety, and daily administration; implement policies, support staff and families, and ensure compliance and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- • Implement school policies and goals under the principal’s direction.
- • Oversee daily operations, bell schedules, and building opening/closing procedures.
- • Enforce discipline and attendance policies and manage truancy interventions.
- • Monitor school climate and lead restorative and positive behavior supports.
- • Coordinate safety plans, drills, and emergency response with staff and agencies.
- • Prepare and maintain attendance, behavior, and program reports and records.
- • Observe classrooms and provide feedback on instruction and management.

- • Manage facility use, maintenance requests, and event scheduling.
- • Coordinate and supervise extracurricular programs and after-school activities.
- • Lead or organize committees of staff, families, and community partners.
- • Communicate school information through newsletters, websites, and meetings.
- • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations and reporting.
- • Review safety and conduct codes and train staff on procedures.
- • Support program proposals and pilots; recommend improvements based on data.
- • Collect, analyze, and present student performance and climate data.
- • Mediate conflicts and investigate incidents or complaints.
- • Serve as administrator on duty for events, arrival/dismissal, and emergencies.
- • Act for the principal when assigned.
- • Build partnerships with families, businesses, and community organizations.
- • Teach or substitute in classrooms as needed.
