Description
Plan, direct, and coordinate the financial, administrative, and operational functions of K-12 schools or districts—including budgeting, accounting, procurement, HR/payroll, facilities, transportation, and food services—to ensure compliance, fiscal stewardship, and efficient support of educational programs.
- • Develop, present, and manage annual operating and capital budgets.
- • Prepare financial statements, board reports, and required state and federal filings.
- • Establish and monitor internal controls for accounting, purchasing, and cash handling.
- • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and benefits administration.
- • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, investments, and debt service.
- • Lead audits and coordinate responses to audit findings.
- • Review, negotiate, and recommend approval of contracts, bids, and RFP awards.
