Diagnose, repair, install, and maintain computers, ATMs, printers, copiers, and other electronic office equipment in the field or shop, ensuring reliable operation and customer satisfaction.
  • • Interview customers to identify symptoms and service history.
  • • Reassemble equipment after repairs or part replacements.
  • • Travel to customer sites for scheduled and emergency service.
  • • Reinstall software or adjust settings to resolve malfunctions.
  • • Advise customers on operation, maintenance, and basic programming.
  • • Commission and test new systems for proper operation.
  • • Assemble equipment to specifications using hand and power tools.
  • • Operate equipment to verify part and mechanism function.
  • • Document maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
  • • Install and configure new equipment, software, and peripherals.
  • • Manage parts inventory and order required components.
  • • Upgrade equipment with updated boards, firmware, or memory.
  • • Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment to specs.
  • • Test components and circuits with meters, scopes, and diagnostic software.
  • • Repair, adjust, or replace electrical and mechanical components; solder as needed.
  • • Complete work orders, time cards, and expense reports.
  • • Disassemble equipment to inspect wiring, gears, bearings, and other parts.
  • • Clean, lubricate, and adjust mechanical parts to prevent failures.
  • • Use computers to copy firmware, update configs, and create or store schematics.
  • • Read blueprints, manuals, and schematics to determine settings and adjustments.
  • • Run cabling and connect power, network, and phone lines.
  • • Analyze performance logs to assess equipment health.
  • • Refill printers and copiers with toner, ink, and other consumables.
  • • Train and mentor junior technicians.
  • • Calibrate and maintain test instruments.
