Description
Install, repair, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, operating systems, and peripherals; diagnose hardware and software issues, perform upgrades, and support end users on-site or remotely.
- • Communicate with users to gather details of computer problems and service history.
- • Reassemble and test computers after repairs or part replacements.
- • Travel to client sites or user workstations to provide onsite service.
- • Install, configure, and image operating systems and application software.
- • Advise users on computer operation, maintenance, security, and best practices.
- • Test new systems and configurations to ensure proper operation.
- • Build or upgrade systems to specifications using appropriate tools.
- • Operate diagnostic software to verify functionality of components and systems.
