Description
Provide on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of computers, ATMs, printers, copiers, and related office equipment and software at customer locations.
- • Discuss issues with customers to determine symptoms and history.
- • Reassemble equipment after repairs or part replacements.
- • Travel to customer sites for scheduled and emergency service.
- • Reinstall or configure software and settings to resolve malfunctions.
- • Advise customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices.
- • Test new or serviced systems to verify proper operation.
- • Assemble equipment to specifications using hand and power tools.
- • Operate machines to test component and mechanism function.
- • Document maintenance and repairs in the service/ticket system.
- • Install and configure new hardware, operating software, and peripherals.
- • Maintain a field parts inventory and order needed components.
- • Perform upgrades, such as installing boards, firmware, or memory.
- • Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment per specifications.
- • Diagnose faults by testing components and circuits with meters, scopes, or diagnostic software.
- • Repair, adjust, or replace electrical and mechanical parts using appropriate tools and soldering equipment.
- • Complete service reports, timesheets, and expense documentation.
- • Disassemble equipment to inspect wires, gears, bearings, or other parts for wear or defects.
- • Clean, lubricate, and adjust mechanical parts to optimize performance and prevent failures.
- • Load or transfer programs and update schematics or documentation as needed.
- • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- • Run cabling and connect equipment to power, networks, and phone lines.
- • Analyze performance data and logs to assess equipment health.
- • Refill printers or copiers with toner, ink, or other consumables.
- • Mentor junior technicians and train users on basic operation.
- • Calibrate and verify accuracy of test instruments.
