Description
Install, maintain, and repair office machines such as copiers, printers, scanners, fax units, shredders, postage meters, and other mailroom equipment; diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, replace parts, calibrate, clean, and perform preventive maintenance; set up devices, connect to power and networks, and support users on proper operation.
  • • Discuss issues with users to diagnose office machine problems.
  • • Reassemble machines after repairs or part replacements.
  • • Travel to client sites to service or repair equipment.
  • • Update device firmware or adjust machine settings to resolve malfunctions.
  • • Advise customers on proper operation and routine maintenance.
  • • Test newly installed machines to verify proper operation.
  • • Assemble and install office machines per specifications.

  • • Clean, lubricate, and adjust mechanisms to prevent breakdowns.
  • • Enter service codes or use software to run diagnostics and apply updates.
  • • Read manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to set machine parameters.
  • • Run cabling and connect machines to power, networks, and phone lines.
