Description
Plan, direct, and coordinate the acquisition, maintenance, and governance of business, facility, professional, and product licenses and permits to ensure operational readiness and regulatory compliance.
- • Verify that licensing management systems and tools adequately track requirements, expirations, fees, and renewals in all jurisdictions.
- • Serve as a central point of contact for employees to seek guidance on licensing requirements or report potential licensing gaps.
- • Maintain complete records of license and permit applications, approvals, renewals, and related correspondence.
- • Consult with corporate attorneys on complex licensing statutes, eligibility issues, or contract terms.
- • Collaborate with human resources to monitor employee credential and professional license status and manage escalations for lapsed credentials.
- • Advise management and business units on licensing implications of new locations, services, or products.
- • Review public-facing materials to ensure proper and compliant use of license numbers, logos, and certifications.

- • Lead or coordinate investigations of alleged unlicensed activity or scope-of-license violations.
- • Advise IT and business teams on selection or configuration of licensing tracking and reporting tools.
- • Conduct license portfolio audits to validate data accuracy and documentation completeness.
- • Direct enterprise licensing programs across jurisdictions, including business, facility, professional, and product registrations.
- • Evaluate documentation and eligibility evidence to meet agency standards and pre-submission quality checks.
- • Update policies and operating guidelines in response to changes in licensing laws or agency rules.
- • Brief leadership on emerging licensing requirements, rulemakings, or enforcement trends.
- • Ensure licensing procedures and responsibilities are documented, implemented, and communicated across the organization.
- • Stay current on industry practices and regulatory developments affecting licensing and permits.
- • Oversee the development and implementation of organization-wide licensing governance and controls.
- • Develop risk-based strategies to prioritize licensing activities and allocate resources.
