Description
Determine and drive the organization's financial strategy and policies, providing executive oversight of accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, audit, investor relations, and financial systems in line with board directives. Direct capital allocation, risk management, and compliance to ensure liquidity, performance, and long-term value.
  • • Lead enterprise financial strategy, capital allocation, and long-range planning aligned with corporate objectives and board directives.
  • • Direct budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to fund operations and optimize returns.
  • • Oversee accounting, financial close, and consolidated reporting in accordance with GAAP or IFRS and company policies.
  • • Manage treasury operations, cash flow, working capital, and liquidity, including banking relationships.
  • • Develop and maintain internal controls, compliance, and governance frameworks (e.g., SOX or equivalent).
  • • Present financial results, outlook, and recommendations to the board of directors and executive leadership.
  • • Analyze business performance, unit economics, and variance drivers to identify cost reduction, productivity gains, and policy improvements.
  • • Establish financial policies, procedures, and investment guidelines to safeguard assets and maximize value.
  • • Prepare and approve annual budgets and multi-year financial plans for board approval.
  • • Negotiate and approve financing arrangements, credit facilities, leases, and major vendor contracts.
  • • Oversee tax strategy, compliance, filings, and audits across jurisdictions.
  • • Lead investor relations, including earnings materials, investor presentations, and engagement with shareholders or lenders.
  • • Direct external audits and coordinate with internal audit to ensure financial integrity.
  • • Review and approve management reports, KPIs, and dashboards; recommend corrective actions.
  • • Hire, develop, and mentor finance leaders such as controllers, FP&A, and treasury heads; delegate responsibilities.
  • • Coordinate cross-functional planning with operations, sales, product, and HR to align financial targets and resource allocation.
  • • Implement and improve financial systems, ERP, BI, and recordkeeping to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • • Develop pricing, margin, and portfolio analysis to support commercial strategy and profitability.
  • • Serve as primary liaison with banks, rating agencies, auditors, regulators, and key financial partners.
  • • Interpret and communicate financial policies, regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards to executives and stakeholders.
  • • Prepare and deliver financial reports to regulatory bodies and governmental agencies as required.
  • • Lead M&A and strategic transactions, including valuation, due diligence, deal negotiation, and integration planning.
  • • Administer capital projects portfolio, including business cases, funding approvals, and post-investment reviews.
  • • Establish risk management programs covering insurance, hedging, and enterprise financial risks.
  • • Conduct or sponsor financial research and scenario analyses on market, economic, or regulatory issues.
  • • Participate in executive and audit committee meetings; provide guidance on strategy, budgets, and performance.
  • • Oversee procurement, purchasing controls, and spend management to ensure compliance and savings.
  • • Ensure ethical standards and codes of conduct in financial practices; investigate and resolve significant financial issues.
  • • Represent the company at investor conferences, lender meetings, and industry events.
  • • Ensure timely, accurate preparation of SEC or equivalent public reporting, if applicable.
  • • Monitor and recommend changes in financial-related legislation, accounting rules, or policies; advocate company positions when appropriate.
