Description
Perform spectroscopic analyses of solids, liquids, and gases to support R&D, quality control, and environmental monitoring; operate, calibrate, and maintain spectrometers; develop and validate methods; interpret spectra and report results while ensuring data integrity, regulatory compliance, and safety.
- • Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot UV-Vis, FTIR/Raman, NMR, ICP-OES/MS, fluorescence, and MS instruments.
- • Prepare samples and standards; select appropriate sampling modes such as ATR, transmission, DRIFTS, SERS, or digestions.
- • Develop, validate, and optimize spectroscopic methods for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- • Acquire, process, and interpret spectra; apply chemometrics for quantitation or classification.
- • Perform IQ/OQ/PQ, calibration checks, and routine performance verification.
- • Maintain and clean optics, probes, lamps, flow cells, and accessories.
- • Monitor product and process quality using at-line or on-line PAT spectroscopy.
- • Compile and interpret results; generate technical reports, spectra, and calibration curves.
- • Manage spectral libraries and reference standards; ensure data integrity and traceability.
- • Provide technical support and method transfer to scientists and engineers.
- • Comply with GLP/GMP, ISO, and EHS requirements; conduct safety audits and maintain a safe lab.
- • Train staff on instrument operation, sample preparation, and data analysis.
- • Coordinate preventive maintenance, service visits, and software upgrades; maintain instrument logs.
- • Design experiments integrating spectroscopy with chromatography or thermal analysis when needed.
- • Order, inventory, and qualify consumables such as cuvettes, lamps, gases, and standards.
- • Evaluate new spectroscopic technologies and accessories to support R&D and process improvement.
