Description
Prepare, test, and optimize formulations of solids and liquids to support new product development, scale-up, and quality control, performing lab and pilot-scale batching, analytical testing, stability studies, and documentation while maintaining safety and compliance.
  • • Monitor batch and product quality to ensure formulations meet specifications.
  • • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients to prepare lab and pilot-scale formulations.
  • • Set up and conduct formulation experiments, trials, and stability studies.
  • • Perform analytical tests such as viscosity, pH, density, particle size, chromatography, and spectroscopy.
  • • Compile, interpret, and report formulation and test results.
  • • Provide technical support to formulators, chemists, and process engineers.
  • • Prepare stock solutions, premixes, and experimental blends per formulas or design-of-experiments plans.
  • • Maintain, clean, and calibrate mixers, mills, homogenizers, and laboratory instruments.
  • • Document procedures, batch records, and results; create charts or graphs as needed.
  • • Order and manage inventories of raw materials, excipients, and lab supplies.
  • • Develop and execute sampling plans for raw materials, in-process blends, and finished goods.
  • • Assist with pilot batches and scale-up; operate equipment under approved protocols.
  • • Assist in developing or optimizing formulation and mixing processes.
  • • Design or adapt small test fixtures or apparatus to support formulation work.
  • • Maintain a safe work environment by following GMP/GLP and conducting safety audits.
  • • Train new team members on formulation equipment operation and laboratory practices.
