Description
Inspect materials, components, finished products, and production processes to verify compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements; document results and support corrective and preventive actions.
  • • Inspect work of production and maintenance personnel performing fabrication, assembly, repair, or rework to ensure adherence to standards and procedures.
  • • Operate equipment or run test cycles and monitor gauges, meters, and software readouts to detect malfunctions.
  • • Examine access panels, fasteners, and safety guards for security and proper installation.
  • • Inspect components and finished products for damage, wear, corrosion, contamination, or other defects.
  • • Prepare and maintain detailed inspection, test, nonconformance, and certification records and reports.
  • • Inspect new, repaired, or modified parts and assemblies to assess conformity and fitness for use, using checklists, hand tools, and test instruments.
  • • Review production, maintenance, calibration, and lot-tracking records to verify required checks were completed at prescribed intervals.
  • • Recommend replacement, repair, or rework of nonconforming materials, tooling, or equipment.
  • • Recommend changes to procedures, work instructions, and standards based on findings and process knowledge.
  • • Investigate product failures, process deviations, and customer complaints to determine root causes.
  • • Conduct functional tests, dimensional checks, and sample inspections under varied conditions using manual and automated methods.
  • • Approve or withhold release of materials, components, and finished goods based on inspection results.
  • • Evaluate training effectiveness and administer practical or written assessments to verify operator and inspector competency.
