Conduct research on the genetics, nutrition, reproduction, growth, health, and management of poultry to improve egg and meat production, bird welfare, and sustainability.
  • • Conduct research on poultry nutrition, breeding, health, and management to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality.
  • • Advise poultry producers, hatcheries, and integrators on technologies and best practices to enhance production.
  • • Determine nutritional requirements of broilers, layers, and breeders and evaluate feed ingredients and additives.
  • • Study effects of housing, lighting, stocking density, litter, and environment on bird performance and egg/meat quality.
  • • Develop improved programs for feeding, housing, biosecurity, vaccination, and parasite and disease control.
  • • Optimize reproduction, incubation, and hatchery practices to improve fertility, hatchability, and chick quality.
  • • Design and assess selection and breeding strategies to enhance growth, feed efficiency, egg production, and welfare.
  • • Analyze genetic composition and heritability of key poultry traits using quantitative and molecular tools.
  • • Publish and present research findings to scientists, industry stakeholders, and the public.
