- • Prepare and e-file federal and state tax returns for individuals and small businesses using professional software.
- • Compute tax liabilities and refunds; ensure accurate forms, schedules, and elections.
- • Optimize deductions, credits, and entity choices to minimize tax lawfully.
- • Interview clients and verify documentation to substantiate income, expenses, and credits.
- • Analyze financial statements, payroll, and bookkeeping to determine filing requirements.
- • Research federal and state tax law and IRS guidance to resolve complex issues.

- • Prepare and negotiate installment agreements, offers in compromise, and penalty abatements.
- • File extensions, amended returns, and powers of attorney; maintain case files and correspondence.
- • Provide year-round tax planning, estimated tax, and withholding guidance.
- • Review returns prepared by staff for accuracy and compliance; implement quality controls.
- • Maintain Circular 230 compliance, continuing education, and data security standards.
