Federally licensed tax professional who prepares and files returns for individuals and small businesses, provides tax planning, and represents taxpayers before the IRS in audits, collections, and appeals.
  • • Prepare and e-file federal and state tax returns for individuals and small businesses using professional software.
  • • Compute tax liabilities and refunds; ensure accurate forms, schedules, and elections.
  • • Optimize deductions, credits, and entity choices to minimize tax lawfully.
  • • Interview clients and verify documentation to substantiate income, expenses, and credits.
  • • Analyze financial statements, payroll, and bookkeeping to determine filing requirements.
  • • Research federal and state tax law and IRS guidance to resolve complex issues.
  • • Represent taxpayers before the IRS in audits, collections, and appeals; respond to notices.
  • • Prepare and negotiate installment agreements, offers in compromise, and penalty abatements.
  • • File extensions, amended returns, and powers of attorney; maintain case files and correspondence.
  • • Provide year-round tax planning, estimated tax, and withholding guidance.
  • • Review returns prepared by staff for accuracy and compliance; implement quality controls.
  • • Maintain Circular 230 compliance, continuing education, and data security standards.
