Description
Receive, store, pick, pack, and ship materials in a warehouse. Operate material handling equipment, update inventory systems, and maintain safe, clean, and organized storage areas.
- • Pack, palletize, and shrink-wrap shipments securely.
- • Segregate, document, and process returns or damaged goods.
- • Inspect and maintain material handling equipment and PPE; follow safety procedures.
- • Recommend disposition of excess, obsolete, or nonconforming inventory.
- • Log equipment inspections, usage, and any damage or incidents.
- • Maintain shipping records and tracking information.
- • Calculate weights, cube, or freight class when required.
- • Request replenishment or transfers based on min/max and demand.
- • Determine proper storage locations and conditions (FIFO, temperature, hazmat).
- • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- • Receive, unload, and load trucks; sort and route freight for put-away or cross-dock.
- • Complete and verify pick tickets and packing lists.
- • Pick items from bins, racks, and pallet locations.
- • Read WMS tasks to confirm SKU, lot, size, and quantity.
- • Unpack inbound freight and prepare items for put-away.
- • Put away stock in assigned locations to maintain accessibility.
- • Inspect inbound and outbound goods for damage or defects and report issues.
- • Respond to internal requests about product availability or location.
- • Receive, count, and record inventory using RF scanners or computer.
- • Label pallets, totes, and bins with barcodes or identification tags.
- • Replenish pick faces, shelves, and bins as needed.
- • Verify packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders against deliveries.
- • Prepare orders for shipment and confirm itemization and quantities.
- • Stage and load orders onto trucks or carriers.
- • Mark and update pallet and location labels per WMS rules.
- • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
- • Issue materials, parts, or supplies to internal departments per requisitions.
- • Assist and direct coworkers or temps to meet shift targets.
- • Keep docks, aisles, racks, and work areas clean and free of hazards.
- • Assemble kits or break down pallets per shipping requirements.
