Description
Pick, pack, and ship customer orders from warehouse inventory. Locate items, verify SKUs and quantities, prepare packaging and documentation, and stage for carrier pickup. Operate material handling equipment and maintain accurate records and a safe, organized work area.
- • Keep records of outgoing orders and exceptions.
- • Read pick tickets or electronic orders to determine SKUs, sizes, colors, and quantities.
- • Locate and retrieve merchandise from bins, shelves, racks, or pallet locations.
- • Verify item numbers, lot/serials, and quantities against orders and system records.
- • Inspect items for damage or defects and report discrepancies to supervisors.
- • Pack items securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage.
- • Print and apply barcodes, packing slips, and shipping labels.
- • Seal cartons and stage, palletize, or load orders for shipment.
- • Complete order receipts and update pick, pack, and ship status in the system.
- • Replenish pick locations from back stock as needed.
- • Perform cycle counts and record inventory adjustments.
- • Take inventory to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
- • Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts safely.
- • Determine proper storage locations based on turnover and environmental requirements.
- • Maintain clean, safe, and organized aisles, shelves, and packing stations.
- • Dispose of damaged or defective items or route them for return processing.
- • Mark stock and locations with identification tags or labels.
- • Receive, unload, open, and stock merchandise in picking areas.
- • Compare packing lists or receipts to items received to confirm accuracy.
- • Use RF scanners or computers to record picks and inventory movements.
- • Select shipping methods and packaging per order and carrier guidelines.
- • Communicate shortages, substitutions, or backorders to supervisors.
- • Follow company and regulatory safety procedures, including PPE and equipment checks.
- • Assist and train new or temporary warehouse staff.
- • Prepare batch picks or totes to improve efficiency.
- • Keep records on the use or damage of stock or material handling equipment.
