Description
Pack and prepare customer orders for shipment by selecting appropriate materials, verifying item accuracy and condition, sealing, labeling, and staging packages for carrier pickup. May pick items, scan barcodes, update warehouse systems, weigh and measure parcels, and operate packing and material-handling equipment. May process returns and maintain a clean, safe packing area.
- • Complete packing slips and shipping documentation.
- • Pick merchandise from bins or shelves for packing.
- • Read pick tickets to confirm item numbers, sizes, colors, and quantities.
- • Pack items securely using appropriate materials; unpack returns as needed.
- • Stage packed orders in designated, organized shipping areas.
- • Inspect items and packaging for defects or damage; report issues.
- • Communicate order discrepancies to supervisors or customer service.
- • Count picked items to verify order accuracy and record in the system.
- • Attach shipping labels, packing lists, and handling labels to packages.
