Description
Provide professional body and facial hair removal using hard and soft wax and related techniques. Prepare and treat skin, shape brows, guide aftercare, and uphold strict sanitation and safety; may schedule appointments and sell aftercare products.
- • Keep treatment rooms clean and sanitize tools, wax pots, and equipment.
- • Perform body and facial waxing based on client requests, hair type, and skin condition.
- • Conduct consultations to assess skin type, hair growth, contraindications, and desired results.
- • Schedule and confirm client appointments.
- • Regulate wax temperature and conduct patch tests when needed.
- • Maintain and update client records, service history, and contraindications.
- • Cleanse and prep skin; apply pre-wax oil or powder as appropriate.
- • Apply soft or hard wax with spatulas and remove hair using strips or by hand.
- • Shape and define eyebrows using wax, tweezing, and trimming.
- • Use proper draping and discretion for bikini and Brazilian services.
- • Educate clients on pre- and post-wax care and ingrown hair prevention.
- • Apply soothing post-wax products and recommend at-home care.

- • Operate POS systems to process payments.
- • Adhere to state licensing, sanitation, and infection control standards.
- • Dispose of single-use items and launder linens per protocols.
- • Wear gloves and follow bloodborne pathogen precautions; provide first aid for minor skin lifts.
- • Identify contraindications or skin abnormalities and refer clients to medical care when appropriate.
- • Stay current with and refine waxing techniques and service protocols.
- • Train or mentor new team members and assistants.
- • Order, display, and maintain supplies and retail inventory.
- • Communicate professionally to manage client comfort, pain, and expectations.
