Provide professional hair cutting, coloring, and styling services, including consultations, treatments, shampooing, blow-drying, and finishing. Recommend products, maintain sanitation and client records, and ensure a high-quality salon experience.
  • • Keep stations clean and sanitize tools and equipment.
  • • Consult with clients to assess hair condition, face shape, and lifestyle needs.
  • • Cut, trim, and shape hair using scissors, clippers, trimmers, and razors.
  • • Formulate and apply hair color, lightener, and toners.
  • • Perform highlights, balayage, and other color techniques.
  • • Shampoo, condition, and apply scalp and hair treatments.
  • • Blow-dry, style, and finish looks with brushes, irons, and other tools.
  • • Perform chemical texture services, such as perms, relaxers, and smoothing.
  • • Style updos and special-occasion hairstyles.
  • • Trim and shape beards and mustaches when requested.
  • • Identify scalp or hair concerns and refer clients to medical professionals when necessary.
  • • Recommend and sell professional hair care and styling products.
  • • Educate clients on at-home hair care and maintenance.
  • • Schedule and confirm client appointments.
  • • Update and maintain client service histories and color formulas.
  • • Process payments and handle point-of-sale transactions.
  • • Mentor assistants and coordinate with team members as needed.
  • • Maintain inventory, order supplies, and display retail products.
  • • Style and fit wigs and hairpieces as requested.
  • • Stay current with trends and advance skills through ongoing education.
