Description
Provide expert guidance on geodetic programs, standards, and coordinate frameworks, advising on the use of GNSS, satellite observations, LiDAR, and related technologies. Oversee methodologies, quality assurance, and data governance to ensure accurate, consistent positioning for engineering, mapping, and infrastructure projects.
- • Prepare technical memoranda, progress updates, and executive recommendations.
- • Audit geodetic standards, control networks, and equipment; recommend upgrades and policies.
- • Train staff and stakeholders on geodetic methods, QC procedures, and coordinate systems.
- • Advise and mentor survey teams; provide technical consultation on complex geodesy issues.

- • Define methods, reference frames, and error budgets for horizontal and vertical control.
- • Advise on datum and epoch management and coordinate transformations to achieve precise positions.
- • Perform independent technical reviews for compliance with project specifications and survey standards.
- • Set quality criteria and acceptance tests; determine when additional data are required.
- • Provide guidance on boundary orientation, equipment selection, and control establishment.
- • Develop scopes of work, standards, and acceptance criteria for surveys; oversee contractor performance.
