Plan, direct, and coordinate back-of-house operations to ensure safe, efficient food production, quality, staffing, and cost control.
- • Taste and evaluate dishes to ensure flavor, texture, and consistency standards.
- • Investigate and resolve kitchen-related quality issues and collaborate on guest complaints.
- • Schedule and receive deliveries; verify product quality, temperatures, and quantities.
- • Monitor prep methods, portioning, plating, and ticket timing to meet standards.
- • Track food cost, labor, and kitchen budgets; review transactions for compliance.
- • Create BOH schedules and assign stations and duties.
- • Enforce health, food safety, sanitation, and fire codes in the kitchen.
