Description
Educate and advise individuals and families on effective management of household resources, including budgeting, financial planning, nutrition, time use, and consumer decision-making. Develop and deliver evidence-based programs, workshops, and tools that improve family financial stability and well-being. Assess community needs, translate research into practical guidance, and collaborate with partners to expand outreach and impact.
  • • Collaborate with families to assess needs and address household resource and financial management challenges.
  • • Conduct classes and workshops on budgeting, debt reduction, savings, consumer skills, nutrition, and time management.
  • • Advise clients and demonstrate techniques in budgeting, meal planning, cost comparison, recordkeeping, and financial planning.
  • • Research and provide information on benefits, credit options, housing resources, and consumer protections.
  • • Develop and distribute educational materials, toolkits, worksheets, and digital resources.
  • • Collect and analyze data to assess community needs and evaluate program outcomes.
  • • Maintain confidential client records and track outcomes, referrals, and follow-ups.
  • • Schedule and conduct home visits, virtual consultations, and clinic hours.
  • • Organize and participate in community outreach events, coalitions, and partner initiatives.
  • • Collaborate with social service, housing, and health professionals to coordinate holistic family resource plans.
  • • Demonstrate practical tools and technologies for budgeting, meal preparation, scheduling, and resource tracking.
  • • Review research on family economics and consumer behavior, analyze local data, and prepare reports.
  • • Advocate for family financial capability and consumer rights with agencies and community stakeholders.
  • • Provide direct assistance such as completing benefit applications, setting up budgets, negotiating payment plans, and connecting clients to resources.
  • • Set and monitor program goals, participation targets, and performance metrics.
