Description
Teach undergraduate and graduate environmental science; lead an externally funded research program; mentor students and junior colleagues; and provide service and leadership to the department, university, and profession.
- • Prepare and deliver advanced lectures, seminars, and experiential learning activities in environmental science topics such as climate change, toxicology, hydrology, and sustainability.
- • Evaluate and grade students’ coursework, labs, field reports, and exams.
- • Supervise undergraduate and graduate research, internships, and teaching assistants.
- • Advise students on academic pathways, research opportunities, and careers.
- • Direct thesis and dissertation research and chair graduate committees.

- • Provide professional consulting or expert advice to government, NGOs, or industry.
- • Serve on departmental, college, and university committees and task forces.
- • Review manuscripts, serve on editorial boards, and review grant proposals.
- • Mentor junior faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and lab personnel.
- • Advise student organizations and clubs in environmental science.
- • Write letters of recommendation for students and trainees.
