Description
Provide consulting to improve whole-building performance through audits, modeling, and optimization of envelopes, MEP systems, and controls. Deliver investment-grade analyses, actionable plans, and implementation support to enhance efficiency, comfort, indoor air quality, and decarbonization outcomes.
  • • Conduct ASHRAE Level 1-3 and investment-grade building performance audits.
  • • Measure energy and system performance using data loggers, meters, probes, and thermography.
  • • Perform blower door and duct leakage tests to identify air infiltration.
  • • Inspect envelopes, HVAC, lighting, controls, and process loads to assess consumption and performance.
  • • Analyze utility bills, rates, and tariffs; develop baselines normalized for weather and occupancy.
  • • Build and calibrate energy models to evaluate energy conservation measures and savings.
  • • Calculate savings, costs, and ROI for energy and water measures.
  • • Prepare clear reports with findings, recommendations, and prioritized action plans.
  • • Benchmark facilities using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager or similar tools.
  • • Identify O&M and control strategies to optimize building automation systems.
  • • Develop scopes of work and specifications for retrofits and commissioning.
  • • Oversee or support installation and verify proper operation of new equipment.
  • • Plan and execute measurement and verification per IPMVP to confirm savings.
  • • Advise on incentives, financing, and compliance with energy codes and standards.
  • • Assess indoor air quality, ventilation, and thermal comfort impacts of measures.
  • • Evaluate feasibility of demand response, load shifting, and peak demand reduction.
  • • Provide guidance on electrification and integration of renewables or storage.
  • • Collect and analyze field data; compare performance to benchmarks and codes.
  • • Coordinate with owners, designers, and contractors through implementation.
  • • Identify health and safety risks associated with retrofits or weatherization and propose mitigations.
  • • Deliver training and education to clients and staff on efficient operations.
  • • Apply commissioning and retro-commissioning practices to resolve performance issues.
