Description
Assemble, modify, and test electronic products and subassemblies, such as printed circuit boards, cable harnesses, control modules, and sensors, using soldering, wiring, and ESD-safe practices to meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • • Read schematics, bills of materials, and assembly drawings to determine components, wiring, and build sequence.
  • • Assemble and solder through-hole and surface-mount components onto PCBs per IPC-A-610 standards.
  • • Align, place, and secure components and hardware on boards and in enclosures using hand tools and fixtures.
  • • Route, crimp, and terminate cables and wiring harnesses according to specifications.
  • • Inspect, test, and calibrate completed assemblies using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and functional testers.
  • • Perform rework and repair, including de-soldering and component replacement, to correct defects or ECOs.
  • • Operate pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI/X-ray systems where applicable.
  • • Use microscopes, hot-air tools, and soldering stations for fine-pitch and BGA work as qualified.
  • • Clean flux residues and prepare boards using approved solvents and ESD-safe tools.
  • • Install heat sinks, spacers, gaskets, conformal coating, or potting compounds as specified.
  • • Verify component values, polarity, and orientation; kit and stage parts against BOMs.
  • • Label assemblies, apply serial numbers and revision markings, and complete travelers or build records.
  • • Follow ESD controls, safety procedures, and quality standards; maintain a clean, organized workstation.
  • • Perform light mechanical work on panels or enclosures (drilling, deburring, hardware installation) and package assemblies using ESD-safe materials.
