Description
Assemble, wire, and modify electrical equipment and subassemblies, including control panels, wiring harnesses, junction boxes, motor controls, and power distribution units, per blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • • Inspect, test, and adjust completed electrical assemblies to meet specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
  • • Assemble enclosures and panel layouts; position, align, and fasten components using hand and power tools.
  • • Cut, route, terminate, and connect wires and cables per wiring diagrams and specifications.
  • • Crimp terminals and connectors using manual and pneumatic crimp tools; solder connections when specified.
  • • Label wires, terminals, and assemblies; attach nameplates and identification tags.
  • • Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and work instructions to determine components and assembly sequence.
  • • Disassemble units to replace parts, rework wiring, or prepare for shipping.
  • • Measure wire lengths, harness dimensions, and panel cutouts using rulers, calipers, and templates to maintain tolerances.
  • • Clean contacts and assemblies; apply dielectric grease, sealants, or conformal coating as required.
  • • Drill, tap, and ream holes in panels and enclosures using drill presses and portable drills.
  • • Deburr, file, and smooth edges, bus bars, and cutouts to fit and finish.
  • • Install insulation, heat-shrink tubing, sleeving, cable ties, and wire duct for protection and cable management.
  • • Operate wire processing and test equipment, such as cutters/strippers, automatic crimpers, and continuity/hipot testers.
  • • Use hoists or lift assists to transport or position large panels and enclosures safely.
