Description
Support senior engineers in researching, designing, testing, and documenting electrical equipment, components, and systems; assist with manufacturing, installation, and compliance activities for commercial, industrial, or scientific applications.
  • • Participate in meetings with engineers and stakeholders to review requirements and project status.
  • • Assist in designing and improving electrical instruments, equipment, or systems.
  • • Use CAD/EDA and simulation tools to create schematics, layouts, and models.
  • • Support manufacturing, installation, testing, and documentation to meet specifications and codes.
  • • Perform basic calculations and analyses to support standards and component selection.
  • • Assist with research procedures applying electrical theory to projects.
  • • Draft or update specifications, bills of materials, and purchase requests under supervision.
  • • Maintain organized project documentation, test plans, and change logs.
  • • Help evaluate and test vendor or competitor components and products.
  • • Track project tasks, budgets, and schedules; report progress to the team.
  • • Create or revise technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
  • • Provide data and cost inputs for capital projects and major repairs.
  • • Compile test data and draft technical reports and presentations.
  • • Collect and analyze power system or load data to assess efficiency and performance.
  • • Assist with field surveys and site visits; document findings and issues.
  • • Contribute to energy-efficient designs such as lighting that leverages daylighting.
  • • Support analysis and design for renewable energy systems (solar, wind, bioenergy).
  • • Help integrate electrical systems with renewable sources to improve efficiency.
  • • Assist with cost estimates and bills of materials for budget preparation.
  • • Help investigate customer or user issues and document root causes and actions.
  • • Observe inspections and operations to verify conformance; record test results.
  • • Write or modify basic scripts, firmware, or software for control or test automation.
  • • Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental procedures in labs and on sites.
