Conduct research on financial markets and institutions to address issues in pricing, risk, credit, and capital allocation. Collect and analyze financial and macroeconomic data with econometric methods to produce reports, forecasts, and policy or investment recommendations.
  • • Analyze financial and macroeconomic data on markets, banking, credit, and corporate finance.
  • • Advise regulators, policymakers, and firms on financial conditions, risks, and policy impacts.
  • • Build and apply econometric and quantitative models to explain financial phenomena and forecast interest rates, credit, and asset returns.
  • • Develop policy, risk management, or investment recommendations for financial markets and institutions.
  • • Draft analytical frameworks, guidelines, and assumptions for stress testing, valuation, and scenario analysis.
  • • Testify or brief stakeholders on effects of financial regulation, monetary policy, or market structure changes using cost-benefit analysis.
  • • Lead research projects and mentor junior analysts or research assistants.
  • • Monitor and forecast liquidity, credit conditions, and capital flows.
  • • Evaluate the transmission and distributional impacts of monetary, fiscal, and regulatory policies on households and firms.
  • • Provide expert analysis or testimony in financial litigation or regulatory proceedings.
  • • Conduct research and disseminate findings through technical reports, white papers, or journal articles.
  • • Formulate and document methodologies for data collection, model validation, and forecasting.
  • • Communicate financial outlooks, risks, and policy impacts to executives, clients, and the public.
  • • Review and validate models, datasets, and documents prepared by others.
