Description
Support cafeteria food service by maintaining clean dining areas, stocking and replenishing serving stations, clearing and setting tables, transporting dishes to the dish room, assisting customers with trays and basic beverages, and ensuring a tidy, well-supplied dining space.
  • • Wipe tables, seats, and high-touch surfaces or replace soiled table coverings.
  • • Set tables with napkins, utensils, and condiments.
  • • Scrape, stack, and transport dirty dishes and trays to the dish room.
  • • Clean up spilled food or drink and remove trash and empty containers.
  • • Perform serving, cleaning, and stocking duties to facilitate customer service in the cafeteria.
  • • Maintain adequate supplies of trays, dishes, cups, utensils, and napkins.
  • • Serve or restock ice water, coffee, rolls, and butter.
  • • Fill and sanitize beverage and ice dispensers.
  • • Stock serving areas with condiments and refill condiment containers.
  • • Help customers locate items or answer basic menu questions.
  • • Carry food, dishes, and trays from the kitchen to serving counters.
  • • Serve food on the line during busy periods or when assistance is needed.
  • • Clean and polish counters, shelves, and equipment; mop or vacuum floors.
  • • Assist patrons by carrying trays from the counter to tables when needed.
  • • Replenish food and equipment at steam tables and self-service stations.
  • • Operate a cash register or point-of-sale system as assigned.
  • • Wash glasses, trays, and other serving equipment.
  • • Arrange and garnish food items on the serving line for visibility and accessibility.
  • • Handle and transport linens or napkins to and from laundry or storage areas.
  • • Greet customers and help direct traffic flow through the service line.
