Description
Set up, maintain, and break down banquet and meeting spaces; arrange furniture, linens, and equipment; stock and refresh buffets and beverage stations; clear, clean, and reset rooms; transport and store supplies; and assist banquet servers to ensure smooth event service.
- • Set up banquet and meeting rooms per event orders, placing tables, chairs, and equipment.
- • Install and skirt tables with clean linens; set centerpieces as directed.
- • Stock buffets with chafers, serving utensils, plates, and condiments.
- • Set and replenish water, coffee, tea, and break stations.
- • Fill and maintain ice bins and beverage dispensers.
- • Carry food, trays, dishes, and service ware between kitchens and function rooms.
- • Remove dirty dishes, glassware, and trash; stage items for stewarding.
- • Wipe and sanitize tables, counters, and service areas.
- • Clean up spills or broken glass promptly and safely.
- • Vacuum, sweep, or mop floors and spot clean carpets as needed.
- • Replenish supplies of linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays.
- • Strip tables after events; bag and send soiled linens to laundry.
- • Transport and store banquet equipment using carts and dollies.
- • Assemble and place risers, podiums, easels, signage, and portable bars as directed.
- • Set basic audiovisual elements such as screens and projectors; report issues.
- • Check lighting, temperature, and room appearance; adjust or escalate.
- • Assist servers with food service, water pouring, or table replenishment.
- • Maintain orderly back-of-house corridors and storage areas.
- • Follow sanitation and safety procedures, including proper lifting and PPE.
- • Complete setup and breakdown checklists; report damages or shortages to the banquet captain.
