Description
Use verbatim methods and equipment to capture, store, retrieve, and transcribe spoken or recorded audio and video into accurate text for meetings, interviews, dictation, and media. May produce captions or subtitles for prerecorded content.
  • • Use transcription software, headsets, and foot pedals to transcribe audio and video verbatim.
  • • Provide transcripts to clients, producers, or internal teams upon request.
  • • Transcribe meetings, interviews, webinars, and dictations using digital recordings.
  • • Format transcripts according to client style guides and templates.
  • • Ask speakers or clients to clarify inaudible or unclear statements when possible.
  • • Deliver finalized transcripts in required file formats and platforms.
  • • Organize, label, and securely store recordings, notes, and transcript files.
  • • Retrieve and read back or quote previously transcribed segments upon request.
  • • Transcribe content across legal, medical, academic, and business domains as assigned.
  • • Verify accuracy by comparing text against source audio and researching names and terms.
  • • Use automated speech recognition or computer-aided transcription to create drafts and edit to final.
  • • Proofread transcripts for correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, and consistency.
  • • Track and maintain metadata such as speaker identification, timestamps, and version history.
  • • Produce captions, subtitles, or meeting minutes when requested.
