Description
Use stenographic or voice-writing equipment and computer-aided transcription (CAT) to capture speech and generate accurate, low-latency captions in real time for broadcasts, streams, classes, and events; may also caption prerecorded media. Configure connections to encoders or platforms, manage dictionaries, and deliver accessible captions and transcripts for Deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences.

- • Provide real-time captions and post-event transcripts to clients, broadcasters, or platforms upon request.

- • Verify caption accuracy against audio, correct errors promptly, and reconcile final output with recordings when available.
- • Maintain and optimize dictionaries and briefs to improve translation accuracy and latency.
- • Monitor and correct spelling, punctuation, timing, and speaker identifications in real time.
