Description
Install, maintain, and repair computer hardware and peripherals for end users and enterprise environments. Diagnose and resolve hardware issues for desktops, laptops, servers, and related devices; perform upgrades, imaging, cabling, firmware configuration, and documentation, and coordinate vendor repairs as needed.
- • Work with stakeholders to define hardware specs, upgrades, and compatibility.
- • Provide basic instruction on hardware operation, care, and ESD-safe handling.
- • Process RMAs, track warranties, and coordinate vendor or depot repairs.
- • Evaluate components and recommend cost-effective upgrades or replacements.
- • Maintain inventory of assets, spare parts, and loaner equipment.
- • Configure BIOS or UEFI, device firmware, and RAID or boot settings to standards.
- • Assist with hardware lifecycle planning, cost analysis, and refresh schedules.
- • Support hardware rollouts and coordinate tasks with field technicians or installers.
- • Respond to user requests and diagnose hardware issues to resolve failures.
- • Run hardware diagnostics, POST tests, and monitor BIOS or firmware status.
