Description
Administer personnel programs across the employee lifecycle, including job classification, compensation and benefits, records management, and job analysis. Ensure legal compliance, advise managers and employees, and coordinate HR processes and reporting.
- • Process personnel actions for hiring, promotions, transfers, and separations.
- • Maintain and audit employee records and the HRIS; update personnel handbooks.
- • Evaluate job positions to determine classification, FLSA status, and pay range.
- • Prepare and update job descriptions, occupational classifications, and salary structures.
- • Administer and coordinate employee benefits, including health, retirement, and savings plans, with carriers and brokers.
- • Support development and administration of compensation programs, including merit and incentive pay.
- • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and reporting requirements.
- • Advise managers and employees on policies, collective agreements, and personnel procedures.
- • Assist in resolving classification, pay, and benefits inquiries or complaints.
- • Conduct job analyses through interviews, observations, and surveys.
- • Research job and worker requirements and occupational trends to inform staffing and pay decisions.
- • Develop and improve methods for recruiting, selecting, compensating, evaluating, and training employees.
- • Prepare HR reports and dashboards, including organization charts, career paths, and compensation analyses.
- • Perform data and cost analyses to support budgeting and labor relations.
- • Research and recommend changes to benefit, wellness, and health and safety practices.
- • Coordinate performance appraisal and employee development programs.
- • Plan and deliver HR policy and compliance training for managers and staff.
- • Serve as liaison with insurance carriers, benefits administrators, government agencies, and union representatives.
- • Support collective bargaining preparation and grievance processing as assigned.
- • Advise hiring teams on candidates’ qualifications and placement options.
- • Develop and maintain job analysis tools, templates, and process documentation.
- • Draft and distribute HR communications, policies, and guidance materials.
