Description
Administer and optimize employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, retirement, and leave; ensure regulatory compliance; manage vendors; support employees; and analyze data to improve plan value, cost, and equity.
- • Administer health, welfare, retirement, and leave benefit programs.
- • Evaluate plan designs and recommend changes based on cost, utilization, and competitiveness.
- • Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and applicable state laws.
- • Coordinate annual open enrollment, life events, and new hire benefits onboarding.
- • Advise managers and employees on eligibility, plan provisions, and processes.
- • Partner with brokers, carriers, and TPAs; support renewals and rate negotiations.
- • Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and resolve billing discrepancies.
- • Prepare and maintain plan documents, SPDs, SBCs, notices, and employee communications.
- • Maintain benefits data in HRIS/benefits systems and audit for accuracy.
- • Process and track leaves of absence and accommodations per policy and law.
- • Investigate and resolve claims and eligibility escalations.
- • Generate reports on enrollment, costs, and utilization; perform trend and cost analyses.
- • Support Form 5500 preparation, plan audits, and nondiscrimination testing.
- • Develop and deliver benefits education, orientations, and training.
- • Research legislative and market changes and recommend policy updates.
- • Coordinate wellness initiatives and employee assistance programs.
- • Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate deductions and taxable benefits reporting.
- • Monitor vendor SLAs and performance; manage issue resolution.
- • Conduct dependent eligibility audits and maintain required documentation.
- • Handle QMCSOs, subpoenas, and other qualified orders impacting benefits.
- • Support total rewards projects and system integrations during organizational changes.
