Description
Install, service, adjust, and repair coin-operated machines and coin mechanisms, including change machines and coin systems in vending, arcade, pinball, and slot devices; diagnose faults, replace mechanical/electrical parts, and ensure accurate cash handling and code compliance.
  • • Inspect coin acceptors, bill validators, hoppers, and meters; clear jams and stuck products.
  • • Load machines with coins, tokens, bill cassettes, and ticket stock; replenish payout hoppers.
  • • Keep logs of fills, collections, service actions, and parts used.
  • • Collect coins and bills, prepare invoices or receipts, and reconcile cash with meters.
  • • Respond to service calls and perform on-site repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • • Test coin paths, payout functions, and controls to confirm proper operation.
  • • Escalate major faults and arrange removal or shop repair when needed.
  • • Clean, lubricate, and calibrate coin and mechanical assemblies.
  • • Record transaction data and meter readings; report discrepancies to designated personnel.
  • • Adjust acceptor sensitivity, timing, and payout settings.
  • • Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
  • • Replace faulty parts such as coin validators, hoppers, solenoids, belts, switches, and fuses.
  • • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems using hand tools, multimeters, soldering tools, and diagrams.
  • • Order and track parts and consumables required for repairs.
  • • Disassemble and reassemble machines and coin doors per specifications.
  • • Install machines and make required electrical and, when applicable, network connections in compliance with codes.
  • • Use manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic software to troubleshoot.
  • • Transport and position machines at installation sites.
