Install, configure, service, and repair automated teller machines and related self-service banking equipment, including cash dispensers/recyclers, deposit modules, card readers, keypads, printers, and kiosks, to ensure secure, reliable operation and regulatory compliance.
- • Load and balance cash cassettes, receipt paper, and envelopes under dual control.
- • Maintain records of cash levels, replenishments, and consumables.
- • Coordinate with cash-in-transit teams to remove deposits and reconcile balances.
- • Respond to service calls to diagnose, maintain, and repair ATMs on-site.
- • Inspect devices to identify faults and clear minor issues such as note jams, card jams, and printer errors.
- • Run diagnostics and test transactions to verify proper operation.
- • Escalate major hardware or software issues and schedule depot repair or unit replacement as needed.
- • Clean sensors, belts, rollers, and fans; lubricate moving parts per manufacturer specifications.
- • Log service actions and exceptions; report discrepancies, tamper alerts, or fraud indicators.
- • Adjust device calibrations, cash presenter timing, and configuration parameters.
- • Maintain detailed maintenance and repair records in the service management system.
- • Replace failed components such as card readers, encrypting PIN pads (EPPs), dispensers/recyclers, printers, screens, locks, and power supplies.
- • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and firmware issues using hand tools, multimeters, diagnostic software, and schematics.
- • Order and track replacement parts and consumables.
- • Disassemble and reassemble ATM modules per specifications using hand and power tools.
- • Install ATMs and kiosks; connect power and network, anchor cabinets, and verify compliance with electrical, ADA, and security requirements.
- • Use service manuals, wiring diagrams, and knowledge bases to guide repairs.
- • Transport and stage ATMs and site kits for deployment.
- • Load encryption keys, apply firmware and software updates, and configure network settings and remote monitoring in accordance with PCI and bank security policies.
